The Knowledge Network - Supporting Business

What

The Knowledge Network is a business network organised to help companies grow their businesses.

Our aim is to provide a supportive framework that enables local businesses and entrepreneurs to develop new business relationships, to learn from peers and to share knowledge and experience.

Who

The Knowledge Network includes businesses from all sectors and sizes. Established since 2004, the network now has over 300 active members.  The membership comprises in the main owners, CEOs, Managing Directors and senior managers.

Whatever your role, however, we always welcome new members.  All we require is a small joining fee and a willingness and enthusiasm from you to network with other businesspeople.

Why

Running a business can be tough.  We all need help at times.  Whether it is learning from successful entrepreneurs through their successes (and failures) or simply sharing know-how and experience, it is heartening to know that you’re not on your own.

How

Networking is accepted as a proven method of growing your business.  At the Knowledge Network we have a well-established reputation for providing the highest-quality speakers at our events and creating the type of friendly and cooperative environment that encourages businesspeople to meet, learn and build relationships.

We organise large monthly networking meetings throughout the year.  Most events attract between 40 and 100 delegates.  Over the last 8 years the Knowledge Network has been successful in attracting over 3,000 businesses to its events.

And as added value for our members,  we offer free marketing opportunities and online access to the members’ area of the Knowledge Network website.  As a member of the network your company profile is listed on the Knowledge Network website, which is visible to the public; and you have access to the members’ area where you can create an individual profile, manage your company profile, add news and events, and participate in the Discussion Board with other members.

When

Knowledge Network events take place at least once a month between 5.30 pm and 9.00 pm.  Light refreshments are provided on arrival, and after the talks we get together to network over a relaxing glass of wine and finger buffet reception.

As a member you can attend as many or as few events as you like, but of course, the more you put into it the more you’ll get out.

Where

Knowledge Network events take place at Putteridge Bury Conference Centre (www.beds.ac.uk/putteridgebury), a fabulous country mansion set in picturesque parkland, with a first-class reputation for providing excellent conferencing facilities and professional catering.

Cost

Joining the network costs a one-off, lifelong fee of only £30 (including VAT).  The joining fee entitles you to attend your first event free of charge and all future events at the discounted members’ rate for that event.
