‘Changing Lives’

The Knowledge Network - Supporting Business

'Changing Lives' is the theme of the exciting new Knowledge Network programme for 2010.

The aim of the programme is to present cutting-edge research and the latest developments in science and technology that have the capacity to impact significantly on our business and private lives.

Our events are enlightening and thought-provoking, designed to stimulate ideas on how best to take advantage of modern progress to improve our lives in a fast-changing world.

Our speakers include experts from the University's Research Institutes, external guest speakers who are specialists in their fields and entrepreneurs whose businesses are at the forefront of scientific and technological advancement.

'Changing Lives' is of relevance and interest to people from all backgrounds – employers and employees, businesses and public sector organisations, self-employed and sole traders, and individuals with a keen interest in the world around them.

Knowledge Network Events

Knowledge Network events are incredible value at only £10 including VAT.

The fee includes: all refreshments (coffee/tea/biscuits at registration, wine and finger buffet by professional caterers afterwards); excellent facilities – all of our events are held at the glorious Putteridge Bury Conference Centre, with superb rooms, state-of-the-art equipment, professional staff and lovely grounds; and ample, free parking in an easily accessible location.

Our aim is to provide an environment where you can wind down at the end of the day, enjoy a glass of wine and good food, listen to stimulating speakers and meet interesting people.

All of our events are held in the evening and the atmosphere is relaxed and informal. The audience is very friendly and drawn from a wide cross-section of the community. There are great networking opportunities before and after the talks, but there are no forced introductions or business card exchanges.

Non members are always very welcome.
